I have just bought a 3930k but it has been a long time since I last upgraded (still rocking a Q9450). What is the concensus on cooling a 3930k with a mild overclock?

Are the all in one hydro coolers as good as they purport to be or will top end air cooling be just as good and still quiet?

My priority is noise over overclocking.

Thanks.

I've been using the H100 for well over a year now, does the job very well, it's quiet, keeps the 3930K cool and looks a lot cleaner than a big ol' heatsink.

Looks like a clone of the Thermalright Silver Arrow?

In terms of best of the best, the NH-D14 and Dark Rock Pro 2/3 are still king. May be overkill for what you are after though.

Do you know how would these would compare to, say a Corsair H100i?

Check around for reviews: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cooling/2014/06/09/be-quiet-dark-rock-pro-3-review/2

Generally all within a few degree of each other but the H100i is usually around the same with the normal profile and better with max profile.
Performance is similar when tested in a case and running at full speed and extreme noise level, but at similar speed and noise level the air coolers kick their *****. :D
