As it was set up as "September" and we're about 2/3 weeks away now... anyone have any further clues as to when it's launching?

Lots of speculation ofc and amusing guesswork... 16/09 (Ryzen 9, 16 core) was one I liked personally and I'd expect it later rather than earlier in September but... anyone have anything more specific? Rumours/etc too would be nice or anything from OcUK regarding any dates they've been given? (Though I suspect NDA).

Nothing concrete unfortunately, just rumours and guessing. Late September or early October if i were to predict at the earliest. They may wait for intel's
new processor release comet lake or whatever its called.

I think technically it's launched, at least on paper.

September was the date. Any reason why it won't be available?

Stock shortage of the 3900x has not been attributed to anything specific by AMD. I imagine they are holding back stock to manage their own needs....

My thought as well was that there may be a fair few good chiplets being held for 3950x and TR3, they tried to guess where demand would fall, missed it, have since moved the binning a bit (so I'd expect better 3x00 chips in the next few batches) but obviously needs a wee while to get chiplets turned into full package CPU's.

Thisa is what I want to know too. I'm guessing they're going to be as scarce as the 3900x after the 1st batch & I want to get on the pre-order when it goes live. It's the only reason I'm really interested in the x570 platform (already got my board & memory).

You built your machine in a draw. How novel.
