3D and AMD

Tried the whole 3D thing before, but got bored and sent it back because I didnt play games/ watch movies at the time, so didnt really get the use out of it.
Also I didnt really research into the fact that AMD 3D compatible monitors were few and far between.

Now my B-day is coming up and I have no idea what I want, so thought I could try the whole 3D thing again

Now after a look at the AMD recommended monitors
List here for future reference

Now I want the Samsung S23A950D, or the 27" model, curves be sexy.

Dont fancy Nvidia, but if push comes to shove, would it be more benefical to swap my HD7950 for a GTX670 and go Nvidia 3D?
