3d Character Modelling

I fired up an old copy of Poser 3 on an old machine cos I need to do some hand clapping with models, but it refuses to play ball and skews all over the place and the keyframing is just a mess.

I'm downloading a free trial of Poser 6, says it's limited so I dunno if I can do what I need with it. Anyone got another other simple modellers? Textures aren't all that important, just basic movement. We have Max at work but I have no idea how to use it :¬(

perhaps Maya? there should be a free edition you can use.

I've only used 3DS Max for 3d modeling and animation (really need to revisit it)

Cheers I'll try that. Just installed the poser demo and it's the most unstable mable ever, just kept shutting down on me.
