3d Games + Mouse = Fail

Ok My bro pc has all of a sudden started to mess up playing games with a mouse.

When playing using a keyboard to move cam + char in TF2 ,LOTRO and other its fine but if he uses his mouse it turns into a slide show.

Ive tried using a ps2 adapter + my MX510 with drivers from logitech website also updated all mobo gfx drivers as well.

off the top of my head is

res 1440 X 900

Mobo Gigabyte DS3
Radeon x1900gt
Core2 duo 2.13ghz
Winxp home sp2
2GB ram

any help would be appreciated thanks

slide show as 5fps ?

do fps drop ?
have you tried uninstalling the mouse drivers ?(mouse will still work u just wont have side buttons functionality).

You'll even get the side button functionality on the mx510 without drivers, I do. Not the first time mouse drivers have caused problems, I prefer not to use them.

Yeah as soon as in game and you use the mouse to look round or whatever the frame rate drops to 1-10fps, however if you use the keyboard to do the same thing it doesn't drop below 40fps

Deus ex 1 in software/D3d and Open GL so as you move the cursor the fps just drops.
Same in PES6 however when using ps2 pad it's fine.

Solved Anti-Virus disabled and it's fine.
