Just took delivery of one of the above bad boys (can't post a link as it might breach competitor regs). Nice set, though fine tuning the picture etc. still a WIP.

Unlike our previous LG large screen, the Sony has active rather than passive 3D so the old glasses don't work. Branded Sony active glasses are nearly £70 for two pairs, so looking for something a bit cheaper that will be compatible with this panel. Again don't post anything that will breach the CoC but a brand and model type would be excellent help.

Welcome to the club and what a great TV!

Thanks. Yes it's a nice set, looking forward to getting a 4K player too, deciding at the moment whether to get the Samsung as a stop-gap then an Oppo later on or plump for the Panny.

The 65" version has been getting mixed reviews on AVF, something about the screen flexing when it gets warm, but not noticed that with the 55". Only issue we had on Day 1 was Netflix wouldn't load initially and none of the tips and tricks would get it to work. Then, suddenly checked one more time before going to bed and it was suddenly working, no idea what was wrong or what fixed it - just happy the problem was sorted.

I've got the Panny on preorder and it will be here in a few days time. There was Netflix 4K fix which arrived yesterday so you shouldn't have any problems from now on.
