3D Graphics cards?

Hello, I'm looking to go 3D 120hz 22inch monitor but i'm wondering what graphics card to get. I have a 6950 1gb atmo but i'm not sure if the nvidia vision kit will work with a ati card. If it does please tell me, if it doesn't please recommend a good graphics card to use with 3D. As well as this with the 3D can you turn it off for say just browsing the internet?

3D Vision does not work with any ATI cards.

You won't necessarily need to change your card, just get a 3D monitor (Samsung S23A750 and S23A950 might be options) although there might be better monitors at that price point. Those two monitors, much like the S27A950 I received yesterday allow you to turn off the 3D at any time. Your decision will also depend on your budget but you certainly don't HAVE to switch to NVidia. I'm sure with a bit more time others with more experience than myself will be able to guide you somewhat better.

Those Samsung monitors have a built in 2D-3D conversion although I wasn't very impressed by the results. Using the supplied tridef software gave a much better 3D effect in the one game I have tried (the witcher). If you want to use an AMD card for 3D you will need something like tridef or iz3d installed as well.
