Trying to put together a self build for a mate who wants something affordable, with as long as possible life span, and doesn't have to touch it. Budget peaks at £600 with a 27" monitor, yikes.

So am looking at external filters he can remove and vacuum, and good airflow. Used for productivity, 3D graphics/modelling, media, maybe once a week gaming session for an hour. But needs to last 5+ yrs, minimum ideally.

Still unsure on everything if i'm honest. The Max board is there just incase in 5yrs time a 2nd hand 3700x becomes cheap on the market + ram speed. 8gb ram, cause budget :( . Ideally i would have liked a motherboard with multiple fan headers, or a case with controller. Looking to add 2x fans to the front also. Bearing in mind, this thing probably won't get a clean out, ever

The other alternative was a 3400g system with A320 board, etc. But it seemed to save hardly any money as i ran into the same issue of RAM, PSU and case quality=/=price.

Thanks

Not from OC:
AMD 2600 or 3300x (potential alternative is 2600x as good price right now)
MSI B450 M2 MAX
GTX 970 [£50 from a mate)

I would ditch that case, no PSU shroud, and that acrylic window will scratch easily. also get 16gb RAM if you can.. ATX cases below , you can still use the MATX motherboard.
