3D IR and RF, which is best?

Am looking to buy a projector. And narrowed it down to two projectors, W1070+ and HD36

One used IR technology and the other used RF for 3D, which is important to me.

Is one better than the other?

I'd have thought RF would be better as it doesn't rely on line of sight so you should rarely lose sync.
