3D Mark 06 - CPU Test

I've just run 3D Mark 06 on my new system

Its a Q9550, 4gb RAM, EVGA 780i, Gainward 1gb GTX280

I scored 14569, but what I want to know is that is it normal that the CPU tests only run at 1 or 2 frames per second?

Seemed odd to me

Yeah that is normal for it to do, i think it just uses the cpu to calculate the graphics or something like that, which is why you get low fps

Running it on my A64 3000+ and I thought my computer would blow up.

I doubt any gaming computer has got over 5fps on that test
