3D Mark 06 score - does this look right?

Recently added a new 5870 card to my system and was expecting something considerably north of 20,000 in 3d Mark. Main components of system below but current best score of 19,700 is a little underwhelming (in my opinion). Am I expecting too much based on my spec or is there a bottleneck in there or a n other?

Spec

Go Stepped quad at 3.6ghz
Asus Maximus x38 mobo
5870 GFX - standard clock speeds (couldn't get the cat to download in xp pro!)
4 gig 6400 DDR2 ram - at 800 mhz
Samsung Spinpoint F1 HDD

3dmark06 is CPU limited with today's cards. It is a CPU test now not a GPU test
