3d mark 11

hi guys jsut a question i wouldl ike to ask i got a gtx 580 card and i ran 3d mark 11 with the spec i have below but for some reason i get very low fps i never get higher than 10fps unless i set the program settings on performance based then i get 30fps

any idea here is the rsults it came up with when i ran the program

when i play games like dead space 2 it runs very very smooth on max setting with the v sync off games work fine only fallout 3 and this 3d mark has problems bad company 2 also works fine.

my stock 480 you should be getting about 20% increase than that its also without my cpu overclock so its at 2.8ghz stock

also are you using the extreme settings on the 3d mark11 program ???

mayb be the res im using at 1920 x 108p (size on my monitor as i have 24inc)

what resolution was your test done on mine was 1920 x 1080

i do the extreme settings preset

maybe i should select the performance preset but change res to 1920 x 1080 and see if thats makes a difference i know i wont get a score as its custom but it may improve my FPS

yeh im pretty sure they would be i also would like to overclock my cpu to and at 3 or 4ghz better im not sure my mobo will be able to hack it doe and my power supply i tihnk i have a decent amout of cooling in the system doe going to check the overclocking section see what i can come up with.

is that running at 4ghz cos it say 2.67 on the 3d mark 11 results ?????

4.4Ghz, he states at the top of the page. It's just 3D Mark not reporting or can't see the overclock on his CPU. When my CPU is overclocked to 4Ghz Windows reports it as 4.62Ghz. So that is why you use CPUz .

i see thnak you for that is there any easy to way overclock my cpu as im a real noob and do not want to cause any damage to my computer.

i want to maybe push my cpu up to about 3ghz or 4ghz max.

i read the user guide in the overclocking section but still quite confused. lololol
