Here is one for the clever dude's out there!

Why does a Sempron (754) at 230 fsb (3100+) give a cpu mark of 946 and yet an Athlon 64 clocked to 2.6 gig gives 748 cpu marks..

Surely a bonifide A64 should wipe the floor with a Sempron?

only thing i can think of is the higher memory bandwith of the sempy but i wouldnt have thought that would make that much of a differnce

perhaps the amd64 pc had something running in the background slowing the cpu down a bit ?

the sempy is using an x fi while the a64 uses onboard, maybe thats taken abit of a burden from it

It could also be that the a64 is being throttled.

Thats the only thing i can think of as well. Maybr try running the test again after a quick restart

It's not like that sempron is running extra good, its the fact that the AMD64 is running bad, my venice at 2.7ghz with rubbish memory at 180fsb lol scores 1200, I can imagine someone with top memory will outscore me by a lot.
