just ran 3dmark 06 and got a score of 2849 not bad i was top with my setup

athlon 64 3200@2000 nn6600gt 256mb sli'ed 2gb corsair value@200mhz

then with a 15% cpu overclock

3200@2300 gpu untouched fsb@230 memory@191 i get a score of 2870

now the interesting bit
cpu score 719 vs 877 about 15% expected
sm 3 score 1149 vs 1039 thats 1100 drop
hdr test deep freeze fps 10.7 vs 12.9 drop 1.2

so whats sm3 and why am i dropping it when overclocking ? is it because my memory has gone down to 191 ?
it seems that with results like this i may as well not bother overclocking it

edit :and at 2870 i still beat everyone else with similar setup up to 2350mhz and i arent clocking my cards yet ;) but i can do that at 2000mhz lol

i understand that but why do certain tests drop after overclocking the cpu ? they should at least stay the same

Can only think its down to the lower memory speed. Can you not keep it at 200 and just o/c the cpu a bit more?

going to have to try that arent i ? got to wait now for the eldest to get off counterstrike :( i got kicked off and demoted to laptop

now running at 2400 memory@200

score 2944 , sm3 is still lower than it was at stock speed though , how come ?

oh yes i am still second best for a 2400 ;)

edit: 3074 with a 5% oc on cards now im first again and sm3 is a tad higher than at stock :p
