Do these seem a little low to you guys?

vantage p12106
06 13331

on a e6600 at 3.2 ghz
asus p5n e sli m/b
4gig ram
gtx280
vista64
177.83 drivers

cheers

Hmm,for comparison,with my HD4850,q6600 @ stock,asus p5q deluxe,4gb mem and vista 64,i get 12001 in 3dmark 06,and p8007 in vantage.
what res are you testing the benchmark with?

yeah i have the physx on.
3dmark 06 seems low but not sure if that down to my cpu only having 2 cores.
left all settings in vantage didn't touch anything.

Not sure how much the physx part adds to your score but thats a score with same sort of system you have and physx off so have a run without physx and see what you get. Just incase you have not been following the thread the score is 9796. 3dmark 06 does not show the performance you get with the new gpus.

Scores look fine to me.

I would want more than that on a GTX280 tbh:confused:
Even with a 8800gts im getting 17k all be it with a quad, but even still I would expect the 280 to bridge that gap.

Yeah because you have a quad at 4.2 ..lol. 3DM06 is very CPU demanding and means nothing in games..

They don't though his gtx280 would give a lot more frames than your 8800gts in games though. 06 is an old benchamrk and means nothing to new tech these days.

I don't doubt that the 280 is faster in games for one second! I don't recall ever even saying it wasn't?. just would have expected a higer score from it in even in an old test like 3d 2006.

Well something wrong somewhere IMO.

Your 3dmark06 score is the lowest dual core score on the 3dmark06 database on this forum!

You have GTX, GTS and even GT's beating you albeit with slightly faster overclocks on the cpu but I would have thought the GTX280 would have compensated for that????

Your vantage score however seems spot on:

1st place beating a faster cpu and overclock gtx!

So nothing wrong with how fast your system is running. Games I presume run as expected?

SO unless you are bothered about posting high 3dmark06 scores to grow your e-penis I wouldn't waste any time trying to fix it tbh.

Haven't really got any latest games only have warhammer installed and that runs at 70-100 fps (seems to be capped at 100) at 1680x1050 :)

3GHz E6300
4GB 900MHz RAM
9800GTX OCX [overclocked 9% futher than factory overclock]
asus p5q-e
vista 64

3dmark 06 = 12700

so seeing as your cpu and gpu and gpu are better than mine it sounds about right

Nope. look at the ocuk database as I suggested. He has the lowest score (well yours would be lower if you posted :p)

As I have said there are 8800GT's with e6600 cpus beating him. That can't be right surely?

But as said, it's a synthetic benchmark and really is useless with the current generation of gfx cards to give an idea of performance.

Something wrong there. My rig in my siggy gets 14.5k in 06 (cpu was at 3.6Ghz then). I would expect your 280GTX to be higher than that. It could possibly be the P5N-E holding it back.
