3D Mark Vantage score correct?

Just ran 3D Mark Vantage after my upgrade (system as sig - velociraptor and 4870x2 are new components) and my score was P2970, GPU 11796 and CPU 5644. Do these results seem right? I'm not too familiar with 3D mark so didn't really know what to expect!

Also, the main reason I ran this was to test my PSU, I was worried 600w wouldnt be enough with a 4870x2, would succesfully completing this test suggest I have enough power?

any help is much appreciated! (as always!!!)

I had assumed it was P2970, as this was underneath 3DMARK SCORE. I didn't take note of all the results down the side (GPU test 1, 2 etc), have I just been stupid? I've closed it now and didn't save the reults, the three results in the original post are all I have.

If i need more I will run it again tomorrow and post a screenshot!

A gpu score of 11796 with a cpu score of 5644 is correct for your setup. The overall score of P2970 is wrong. Either you misread it or there was a glitch in the calculation. Redo it.

Not sure mate. I was just looking at this list here, and was going to compare your X2 to the rest.

I will redo it when I get home from work tomorrow, the gpu score being correct is good though, wasn't sure about the drivers as I havent tried any games yet!

also, does this suggest my psu has enough power?

The gpu and cpu score you claimed to have got should not give an overall score of P2970. There is no reason whatsoever to think your psu isnt good enough.

I hadn't though it would be a problem originally. It came from reading other posts, a lot of people seemed to be upgrading psu's at the same time and the lowest power I had seen mentioned was 620W.

All is well though! I will re-run vantage tomorrow and see what I get, cheers for the help guys

haha, just realised I'd left the tab open in firefox, P9270 was my actual score! my bad!!

I'm guessing this seems a lot more reasonable?

Yep thats much better. Your score will be lower than a lot of others because you dont have a quad though. I thik the cpu score has a 20% weight in the performance preset while the weight is only 5% in the extreme preset.
