3d mark vantage

I have never really been into benchmarks but my mate has just built a new pc. The problem we are having is in any 3d games and benchmarks the pc reboots or bsod. I want to know how i can get 3d mark vantage to run in a window so i can monitor cpu and gpu temps because i think 1 core on the cpu is overheating as at 1 point it was running way higher than the rest.

Couldn't you use MSI afterburner, with the OSD turned on, to display the temps and what ever else? So you wouldn't need to run it in a window.

The PC reboots so he wants to monitor temps as the bench runs, so running with the OSD on is a good suggestion.
