"closing" this thread to open a new one under a more suitable thread title. After looking more into monitors I got lost in way more than just the deal of this one. :P

Hiya!

Christmas just swung its head about, so I got my christmas bonus :P. It is really time to get a new monitor (For me anyway), and I was wondering a few things in regards to the 120hz monitors (3d combo's).

I was currently looking at this monitor, the Asus VG278H 27". With this combo deal, do I still need to get the seperate 3D kit? If I understand correctly, this has the glasses and a built in emitter for the connection between pc//glasses. Is that enough or do I require software that only comes from the kit?

I am guessing that this question is quite silly, but I'd rather have a confirmation on this (as I'm guessing the monitor combo is all I need), then a shot in the dark. =)

In addition I am thinking of getting a 2nd 27" with it, as my current old samsung screen is in pretty bad shape after a recent move (cuts and scrathes in the screen itself). I was thinking of getting the relatively cheap AOC E2795VH 27" to go with it. How would it work to have a non 3d screen attached at the same time?

Thank you for reading so far, and I hope to get some answers. :) Thanks in advance!

You don;t mention what graphics card you have. Stating the obvious :D, you need and nvidia card for the nvidia 2d vision.
