i have a samsund 3d tv but what ide like to know is if i brought a samsung 3d monitor would my tv glasses work with it ? my gfx card is a ati 6970.

thanks

If you bought a samsung 3D monitor that is currently out (like the 2233rz) then these glasses certainly won't work as this monitor type need to use the Nvidia 3D vision glasses to make use of 3D.

However, there are new samsung 3D monitors incoming which have their own glasses bundled with them (and the shutter glasses IR syncing built in). It is possible that these will use the same sansung shutter glasses as your TV, so your existing ones would work. However, we need to wait for them to be released before we can confirm this.

I can confirm that the upcoming 3D monitors from Samsung are likely to use the SSG-3100GB glasses that Samsung bundles with some of their high-end TVs. If your TV uses this model of 3D glasses then they should be cross-compatible.
