Well the glasses are active instead of passive, as for what they are like it varies from game to game some are good and some are poor. For movies i couldn't really comment as i dont own a bluray drive and haven't had chance to see 3D movies outside the cinema.

Currently using an S23700D, mainly for the 120hz refresh rate which makes everything a lot smoother (even using windows vista for instance, dragging folders around is a look more crisp & responsive)

The 3d is a bit more tedious than 3d vision from nvidia, but once you're in a game it can add extra flair (Assassins creed for instance is a lot of fun in 3d) but there are one or two that can look poor.

Never been to cinema to watch a 3D movie but they are great on PC although you would have to use something like Power Dvd 10 or 11 for 3D playback with blu-ray drive.

I use Power DVD 10 ultra 3D so it is expensive to set up and blu-ray 3D movies don't come cheap either. On the game side it's fantastic. just wait till you experience something like "Trine 2" in 3D, it'll blow you away, you will never want to play racing games in flat mode again, the depth is awesome and fully adustable to suite the individuals needs.

Tomb raider underworld in 3D will leave you gasping for breath as will Dirt 3, race 07, formula one 2011, street fighter iv, Yars revenge, fifa 11, FSX, Flatout 2, Black ops, trackmania series, Pure, Resident evil 5, batman asylem, lego indiana Jones and others in the lego series, I could go on and on.....go on treat yourself and you won't look back.

I use a benq XL 2410T monitor and the quality is superb but you should consider a light boost monitor as this improves the lighting although it isn't really an issue for me as most games can be brightened by increasing brightness and or gamma settings.

I am thinking about getting a 2410 but wonder whether to wait for the 2420 which is due out soon

I have treated myself and it will be here tomorrow , couldn't really go as high as I wanted on the price as I need to invest in a better card as am sitting on a crap one here, think I will only be able to afford a 560 maybe a 570, do you think a 560 will do the job.

That's on the list also lol currently on a Q6600 @ 3.0.

Have to say mighty impressed with this 3D vision, even on this crap I got now BF3 actually runs pretty good on medium settings mind, but pretty happy so far.
