To enable 3D in my games I seem to have had to activate a trial version of NVIDIA 3d vision. When the trial runs out what am I supposed to do?
I have two GTX 570s, and have recently got a 3D television with it's own passive 3D glasses.

I don't understand why I have to pay Nvidia for something I can already do, what would I be paying for? Is this a misleading marketing campaign?
To acquire a serial key, I am taken to a page on the Nvidia site that encourages me to buy a new PC or Monitor :/
I can't seem to find much information on the matter.

I'm sorry to bump this again, I can't seem to enable 3d gaming without this sodding 3DTV free trial thing. And I can't remember what I installed or set up last February to get it working. Can someone please help out a moron?

After enabling 3d vision I only get greyed out options like this : https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2JgGUE1GeTZcHZCM25iZkNPbTA/edit?pli=1

The post I found this image from was from an Nvidia forum and of course the solution they provided was to purchase nvidia 3DTV...

Thanks greg, I uninstalled the Nvidia drivers and reinstalled them clean but the options are still greyed out. And I still can't figure out or remember what I did last year to get it working. Googling the issue yields little of value.

The test application works fine, and I can game in 3D and change the Nvidia 3D settings but ONLY when I've started the 3DTV 14 day trial.
Though when active, the display type says Nvidia 3DTV not my TV model. Which gives me an idea to reinstall my monitor drivers...

Edit : That didn't help.

It looks to me like Nvidia have either gotten rid of or are deliberately hiding '3D Vision' and replacing it with a $40 3DTV Play. I am miffed.

I refuse to pay Nvidia to un-gimp their driver software. I guess I'll use an alternative method until I decide to upgrade my monitor.
