Hopefully someone can help me. I have an ender pro 5 which was working perfectly up until i didn’t use it for 6 months, now when I try to print if it eventually sticks to the bed the finished piece is so weak when I try to get it off the bed the layers separate and it just collapses. I have fitted a new nozzle and extruder and have tried different pla but still no use . Any ideas please

is it sticking too much to the bed that you end up prying it off? Or is the part in general just weak?
Hi there
I have trouble getting the first layer to stick to the bed and the part is very weak and just pulls apart like the layers are not stuck together

I am having trouble uploading a photo here. Seems I have to upload somewhere else then supply a link. May take a while as I am new to this

Thanks for your reply.
The prints are not sticking to the bed unless i apply pritt stick first , that is the white residue in the photo. I have been checking bed height before every print with paper as you mentioned. Also the pipe clips in the photos came out perfect 6 months ago and no settings have been changed and everything is stock. Could this be a heat issue ?. Printer says 200 extruder bed 60 degrees.
Thanks again. Also extruder gear and boden tube and nozzle are new and have been checked for blockages.

Yes I do need glue for the old prints . The problems started with nothing sticking to the bed and now I glue them but the finished parts are just coming apart.

I have been levelling the bed before every print using the paper method and the bed is still level. I am trying old print files because I have used them many times before with no problems. I have not changed any settings because I have never needed to in the past . The glue solved the problem with the first layer sticking to the bed but since then the prints have deteriorated so badly that they just perish when I touch them so I fear whatever was causing the sticking problem has worsened and now is affecting the prints . I have been on so many websites looking for a solution and that is why I replaced the nozzle and extruder gear set and boden tube but no difference. Next step is to find a repair shop I guess. Thanks to all replies

Ha ha funny you should say that because I have just got in from work and my wife has been looking up the problem. She said the exact same thing. I am just trying to increase the hot end temperature to see if it makes any difference but if it’s no good I guess it wont get any hotter. It’s set at 220 degrees now and first layer has stuck without glue . I will update when it gets further. Thanks again

Update. Print failed . Done bottom layers then just started missing bits so just a mess. Will look into new hot end . Thanks again

Hi again. Just to update the problem was a blockage between the boden tube and the nozzle inside the hot end itself. Funny enough the only part I did not replace. After all your advice I found a YouTube video on fixing crunchy prints and the guy says it is almost always an extrusion issue , so I stripped it down and luckily there it was. Thanks again for all replies and advice. One last thing , do I have to mark this thread as solved?.

This is interesting. I am now wondering if I have a similar issue. Everything was fine and then suddenly it wasn’t. I have cleaned the nozzle and calibrated the PID and calibrated the extruder. Still no joy. Occasionally I hear the extruder clicking. Is it possible to get a blockage between the hole where the filament feeds into the system and the nozzle.
Hi there
Sounds like you could have the same problem I had . The clicking extruder could be where the filament can’t get through so the gears are grinding. I removed my boden tube from the top of the hot end and the nozzle so leaving just the hot block, then I heated it up to 200 degrees and used an Allen key to push the blockage through. Just beware the block is hot so the Allen key will heat up , I just put a rag over it and slowly pushed and the blockage came out. Good luck hope this helps.
