3D projector Advice

After much research i still am none the wiser. It seems that the GT750XL in PC world comes with DLP link glasses which is no use at all if you want this to work out of the box.

I cant find any retailers that sell the Optoma GT750 XL with the RF glasses and emitter. I also am struggling with finding the RF glasses seperatly from a retailer.

Has nobody looked at these projectors at all? Given their price and quality i would have assumed a lot from here would have had a look at these? Or am i better off looking at AV forums?

I seem to have solved this myself lol. I rang avpartsmaster who said that the GT750XL everything is built in, so you dont need the 3DXL box that used to be connected to previous machine its all in one solution.

Im just dubious about if the glasses will sync being they are infared and my pj will be behind me! Hope this will work as im going to get it later.

iRDA will reflect/bounce off your screen fine :) You should also be able to use remote controls by pointing them at your screen too for the projector and AV amp's or similar

The dlp link glasses work through a flash between frames so it shouldn't matter where your projector is as long as the glasses are facing the screen it will work you can see them loosing the signal when you turn your head away from the screen should work no matter what your using for a screen within reason

Look for a video on Youtube for the GT750 by T4ShowVideos, at 2:30 it shows the RF transmitter that you get with it.

Must admit after looking around Im quite interested in one of these my self :)

That gives a massive screen and its not that far from the wall!!

Do they only come with one pair of glasses, can you buy more??

Quite interested in this myself.

Update people!

Got it tonight, put it where my old one was...it filled my wall. so i will have to buy a celling mount and mount it properly and also paint the whole wall white again lol

You have to remember this has not got a lens zoom so where you put it will depend on your screen size.

You get With it 1 pair of DLP link glasses. This works superb! You can buy more but be warned!!!! You CANT buy these from any retailer! Apart from Richer Sounds at £80 quid a pop. (think im ok mentioning them as OCUK dont sell this item or the glasses).

There is going to be a lot of messing around but i tried the 3D and compared to my old 3D 42"...well its night and day!

At present ive got it at about 80" and projector is about 1.7 meters from the wall. Ideally im going for over 120" when i get the mount! I will update further on how good the screen is when its all done.
