I am deciding between a GTX 480 and a GTX 560ti.

The 480 would give me more power to start with and more VRAM but I wouldn't be able to SLI in the future with my current PSU.
The 560ti would give me the chance to SLI for even more power than single 480 but I would not have as much VRAM.

Will the extra memory on the 480 make a big difference when using 3D vision on a 1920x1080 screen?

Can't help you with your question much, but the 560 would be better as they will be easier to get hold of later. Can you stretch to £250 for an MSI 570?

At a real push I could, but I know I wouldn't be able to wait and will have to order the 2d vision kit at the same time :p therefore adding up quite a bit.

Would i be able to SLI 570's with the 750W PSU at a later point ?

HAHA yeah sorry, i would feel quite ripped off buying a 2d vision kit :D

Might look into buying a 570 then. After some overclocking hopefully it'll do quite well singularly playing 3D.

Still just trying to justify the cost as I don't know if the 3D effect is worth the spend

VRAM doesn't make huge odds with 3D Vision as the extra workload is rendering the same scene twice (from slightly different angles) and doesn't really increase the need for texture memory, etc.

Palit do a 2Gb 560 Ti which might be a good sli option, i won't add a link as it's a competitor site that sells them but u can get em for £210.
Edit: There is also the Gainward GTX 560 Ti 2Gb "Phantom" which is a better brand but are around £240.
