First world problems I know, but I have both the nvidia glasses and a monitor, gpu etc for 3d vision, recently ive got a blu-ray drive and want to watch 3d films on my pc.

All the links on the nvidia page demand money for an application to play them, anyone got any others that are free??

AFAIK unless something has changed recently you basically need to buy something, powerdvd or the like. You can play media from alternative sources on various free players I think but ultimately when it comes to a bluray drive and retail copies its pretty much pay for the software.

There are some WAY cheaper players out there for buying stuff like powerdvd, though I have no idea if it would count as a competitor. though I just checked and they don't have a deal on at the moment anyway. I think RRP on powerdvd is around £70, and you can find it loads of places for £50-60 but I picked it up for £30.

thanks, tbh considering ive paid prob around £300 for the monitor and glasses, then £80 for a drive, the player should be free, didn't even come with free software :/

nVidia should be at least providing their own software, consideriong its pretty flagship and all.

Tbh considering the amount i've paid so far, im not paying any more. Make of that what you will but thanks for the tips
