How does this sound, 17510

A64 AM2 3800 @2.52
X1900xt stock
ddr 533 ram @ 3.3.3.9

Seems abit low to me what you think ?

I really don't know what can be causing it then, tried various drivers, reformats.

My mobo won't run the G.skill ram i got in 667, just reboots everytime at windows although i reading the Asus M2N-E has probs with ram, i was tempted to try the ram in ddr400 mode but wasn't sure if it would work as the overs site says 553/667 ram, i am out of ideas, anyone?

edit:
before anyone asks about the psu, its a Antec TruePower 2.0 550W PSU which i assume is upto the job

Have you checked all the normal things (you could have overlooked them as I have done in the past)

-AA and AF either off or on their performance setting
-V sync off
-Other enhancements set to performance (can't remember which ones the ATI cards have now lol)

Is the card clocking up when it goes into 3d mode. I had this problem on certain drivers with my old X1800XT 512mb. It would stay at the default 2D clocks even when gaming. - Worth a look.

aa and af were on performance, vsync was on application preference, all other settings on performance not tried to see if its clocking at higher clocks when gaming how would i try that ?

I think september time its goodbye am2 and hello conroe.

Rivatuner should be able to monitor the clocks (and volts) of the card. I used 15.8 on my X1800XT and it worked fine. (that showed that during gaming the clocks didn't rise)

Yeah riva tuner says when i run a game its 621 core and 1440 memory so i guess thats ok.

edit :
When i had this card in my old P4 3.4 gig prescott it performed pretty much the same as it is on this amd system, was kinda annoyed that it made no difference, infact seems to lose some fps when i play bf2 now odd.

Does seem a bit low, I get 17950 with pc in sig.

If your score is correct then the OP's score is fine in my opinion. You have a faster clocked processor, faster clocked graphics card and 3dmark03 being an old benchmark means those 48 pixel shaders (on the x1900) are hardly being pushed.

What are your 05 and 06 scores like? They'll be a much better indicator.

Just wondering, on a system like yours why are you using 3dMark03?

Your X1900XT pixel shaders are hardly being pushed at all (like titaniumx3).

Ok never really tried others, if i use 05 for example what score should i expect.

edit:

Ok heres them all on default settings.

2005: 10433

2006
Score: 4801
SM2.0 Score: 2186

So mine about right then
I'd says so yes, Ive got an Opteron [email protected], 2Gb GSkill 2-3-2-5 and a Connect3D 1900XT@stock and these are my result so far with Cats 6.6 running in performance mode:

3DMark03 - 17136
3DMark05 - 10480
3DMark06 - 4717

So I'd say yours are perfectly where they should be mate.... :D
