Hi guys

Just installed my new X1800XT PCI-E GFX card into the following rig

ASROCK SATA2 MNotherboard
AMD 64 3200XP
1GB Generic RAM PC3200 (2x512MB)
1 x 250GB 10,000rpm HDD SATA

and now my new GFX card.

I previously had a 6600GT AGP

My 3D MArk 05 score is at 7573 now, any good?

Seems a tad low, got a 3500+ here and i get about 8.6k with my x1800, and a 3200+ isnt that much slower, did you have every slider to the left for performance, and AA/AF ticked for Application Decided. :)

I get over 6,000 points with my 6800 Ultra AGP / Opty 144 @ 2.66GHz / 1GB RAM.

I was looking to upgrade to a X1800XT or X1900GT so would be a bit cheesed if there was only that kind of performance increase!

I guess your CPU is throttling the GPU!

As said thats low, should be around 8.5-9k @ stock. Make sure you've deleted all traces of the nVidia drivers from your 6800 as that can cause loads of problems if there's still parts of them on your drives.

Bigger 3DMarks scores does not mean best for gaming though, the x1800 XT absolutely destroys the 6800 Ultra in that respect, which is where it counts. :)

Definatly a bit low mate, I have a 7800gtx 256mb that got 8895 last time I tried it (about 5 month ago :D )
