Hey all

I wanted to know is my G/F's pc workin at optimum?
i tested it in a trial version of 3dmark 06 and it got about 4580

PC:

core 2 2.13ghz 2mb stock
250gb WD sataII 16mb 7krpm
leadtek 7950gt 512mb
gigabyte s3 mobo
corsair 2x1gb DDRII 800mhz 5-5-5-12

Any clues as to if this is a good score or not? i feel like its not, but thats me?

Do a comparison with similar systems on the Futuremark website (orb).
I get 6.3k with the rig in my sig, but I don't know how a 7950GT compares with an X1900XT.

my mate has had a similar problem which he still hasn't been able to solve!

He has an x1900xtx and P4D processor, the 650 i believe and he gets only like 630 as his CPU score in 3DM06 so its holding his gcard back!

For his CPU he should score over 2k I believe and this is holding his system back majorily!

It couldnt be anything to do with the version of his Operating system could it?

I get a score of 5300 with my setup.

Your score does seem a bit low, considering your spec is better than mine (excluding gfx card).

I get 6162 with mine, and using the new Ati cats 6.9.

My cpu is overclocked to 3ghz but everything else is at stock, cpu scores 2654.

Thanks to everyone for replying, sorry my nets been down. yeah i was sure it should get more than 4xxxk now my g/f isnt that happy cos her system isnt running full speed

Where do i look to let the card/pc know to run at "fast/high quality" ? in the nvidia tool bar at the bottom right of the screen?

thanks again!
