Hi all...

Ran 3DMark '06 this morning. Graphics tests all ran perfectly. Then it got onto the CPU testing stage. Here I got 0 fps. I was lucky to see a frame change every 3 seconds. Having a AMD 64 3700+ (running at stock speeds for this test - 2.2Ghz) I think this CPU should be performing a little better!

Any ideas?

Specs in sig apart from CPU is running STOCK speeds, not 2.7Ghz.

Cheers,

Jon

That actually sounds about right, the 3dmark06 cpu tests are very stressful and even the latest conroes, i believe, would not be able to do more than, say 3fps?. my dual core oppy at 2.6/2,7 gets about 1.5 fps

I never understood why they would make the CPU tests that stressful, wouldn't it be better to measure performance if the fps would be ~10fps for slower CPU's to ~40fps for top of the range CPU's

Couldnt agree more. My opty 165 at 2.7 gates 1.5 which to me defeats the purpose. :(
