how much more would i expect to get if i overclocked my CPU from 2.66 to maybe around 3.6??
Ahh so it was, oops.
In 3dm06 with i7 920 + GTX 280 I get 21154 (Win 7).
with a Q9550 + GTX 280 I get 19411 (Win XP though).
so yeah I'd expect you to be getting more with your setup.
EDIT: Seems more like a single 5870 score.

I get a little over 20k in 3d mark vantage.
I7 @ 4Ghz
5870 @ 1000/1300

not that impressed tbh , if that sort of setup cannot get the highest score in an old benchmark then something is wrong . only the very few people with money to waste will spend on a system like it , sorry but i can think of better things to spend my money on (life for one)

. i just do not see what all the fuss is about , if i had that kind of money i would proberly buy some better hardware but not to that level just to be told well done by a load of people (no offence intended btw) . and i dont use twitter or facebook

hmm,. both cards are working in CCC. il try taking the 2nd gfx card out and re-run the test, i read somwhere that 3d 06 doesnt go so well on 5870's and by adding a 2nd card you only get an extra 2,000 or so on the score
