on antialiasing i choose let the application decide high quality AF.same with anisotropic. should i set this up manually instead?

Most people manually set both of those to "high performance" so I would try that, but if you're leaving it on application controlled then the score should be similar every time regardless.

Are you running 3D Mark after a fresh boot each time, or are you doing some runs after the PC has been on a long while?
 
Ah ok cool, I got a test machine rigged up but its connected to a spoggy 15" LCD that displays at 1024x768 . . .

if you get time can u run a bog-standard 3Dmark06 at 1024x768 for me pls :)
