Hi i wounder if anyone in this section of the fourm can help... Its kind of half software related and half cpu related... Ive just got the new copy of 3d mark and i think i have done all the updates available. Ive just gone to run the software and it works fine until it gets to the CPU tests The cpu ive got is a x6800 dual core so i was expecting it to run throuht it no probs however it seems to sow right down when the test runs to 0/1 frames per sec.. Its really jerky and i dont think that a new cpu like this should really be producing this sort of output. anyone else had this issue and know what the slow down is caused by..
Thanks..

Q: Why are my CPU tests running so slow?

A: They run at 1-3 fps on most systems. The CPU tests run the game tests at low resolution using software vertex shaders. No currently available CPU can handle over 1 million software vertex shaded vertices per frame faster than that. The measurements are still reliable and comparable.
