The 3090 Kingpin has come to play

If Jaytwocentz was here, he'd have just posted the top score in this thread with his out of the box Kingpin. Now imagine what scores he's gonna get when he overclocks it.

The card seems to be holding about 2175mhz. Can't wait to see what happens when he starts changing voltages and adds better cooling.

new world records have been set

Steve at GN with his kingpin managed to get 17180 points, 2230 points higher than the top spot here

Was that SLI? On air or with an AC unit strapped to it? :)

On Jay's video he was talking about using a stripped down version of Windows, closing all background programmes, tuning his RAM to be as fast as possible, etc., etc.

not even been treated to fresh thermal pasted/liquid metal.

Anyone using LN2 has to go in a separate table as extreme cooling is not something that can be used 24/7 so not 2230 points higher than top spot.

I also think it is unfair for most people that cards like the Kingpin 3090 are only available to Elite EVGA members in North America.

people do sort of crazy things anyway just not to an extreme degree - heck I've done it too. One of my 2080ti timespy benches I did early on a winter morning with the room windows open, side panel off and a floor standing fan blowing into the case - not exactly what I'd call 24/7 but it only improved scores by 300 points

if I had a portable AC unit I'd probably stick that in front of the case with the side panel off too lol
