3dmark guide/tweaks?

yeah im fine for gaming mate thats not an issue but when i do a benchmark i would like to squeze every last point out of it like most people would.

WTF why are you on this forum. do you just troll here for some sort of power trip to see how many posts you can do without trying to answer a persons question..

And for evulboo i know what your after its good hooby to tweak
Maybe some kind people will post their uber know how. ie gcard setting etc

agreed, i love benching to squeeze that last drop of performance out of her, i bench regular just to check my system health if nothing else
its a hobby in its self

I'm not a great "performance geek" yet because I'm still waiting for the right moment to pounce on a new graphics card But I guess I'd do these to ensure best performance:
overclock the processor (duh!)
try and get the ram:fsb ratio as close as possible, 1:1 is best
download "mike linns startup control panel" and run bare minimum on startup
google for "{graphics card name} tweaks" or something just incase there's anything specific to your card. or maybe nvidia/ati driver tweaks.
try different drivers, some might offer slightly better performance
check out all driver options and change anything that might affect performance
overclock the graphics card using nTune for nVidia or whatever's best for ATI
...that's pretty much all I can think of!

I question it because i personally dont see the point in benchmarking in synthetic applications anymore. If it was benchmarking in a game engine, then yes. But synthetic applications are not an indication of performance im afraid.
Oh, and look up trolling please. As you clearly dont know what it is.
Anyway, back to topic.
Try benchmarking in a game that you use, if you want it to be an indication of your systems performance in a real life scenario, then that would be a better indication than a fabricated graphics engine.
