3dmark score ok?

yeh mine is around 12k - which is correct as much as that is what is should read but totally useless in that in terms of actual performance it should be much higher - 3DMark is crap with the 4870's for some reason - perhaps owing to how CPU dependant it is.
yeh i really wouldnt worry about it too much mate. They need to release a newer one really. In terms of in game performance your 4870 will destroy your mates 8800.
I had this same issue just the other day as i benched my 4870 and panicked because it was only returning results slightly higher than my old and now broken 8800GTS! I panicked somewhat! However, i loaded up crysis and was able to play it all on High very smoothly so i soon realised how rubbish 3dMark was lol!
