Hey,
How’s everyones weekend going? Due to unforeseen circumstances (broken foot) I’ve ended up stuck inside for the last few weeks, this resulted in me building a new PC. I completed things over the last week and this weekend I’ve finally had opportunity to get some stress testing done and tinker a little with overclocking.
I’ve been using a range of benchmarking software and from the different ones available 3DMarks Time Spy seems to give reliable results (in that the system is stable when doing real world activities and not just during the benchmarking).
Anyway, after several hours of tinkering I’ve reached a point where I’m about at my current limit until I swap out the stock CPU cooler and review my airflow inside the system, unfortunately I haven’t been able to push things quite as far as I would have liked to but it got me wondering how obtainable a score of 16000 would be under home conditions (no LN2 here
)...
Has anyone manage to attain this or even go above and beyond under home conditions that’s sustainable beyond just the benchmarking software? I would be interested to hear what hardware you attained it on and under what settings and circumstances?
(3DMark - Time Spy is available for free (Demo) on Steam for anyone wanting to give it a try).
