Hey guys i know i could have searched, but im not one for dragging up old threads so just a quickie! Is 12815 3DMarks using the free version of 3DMark 06 a good score for my system below:

E6600 Overclocked @ 3.07Ghz
3 Gig RAM
Powercolor 4870 1gig
Vista Home 32bit

It seems a bit low to me, but im not sure?!

Thanks :)

3d mark 06 is not a good indicator for checking system now.

I would try 3d Mark Vantage - or at least the free one.

I think that looks about right - you'll be very cpu limited on the 3dmark free test.

I get 15.6k with the same specs as you except running at 3.2GHz
and a 512MB 4870
And an extra gig of ram.

But I still think this is still low, but as Vortex said, its probably not a good idea to use 3dmark06 now.

do u play 3dmark? no! do a benchmark with crysis and see what results you get then compare them to other members and see if your card is performing as it should ;)

As in the Crysis Benchmark proggy? I have it already, but it seems very bugged as i cant turn AA or AF on and i never get my results as it says it crashed when it didn't?!

Definately seems low, I get 13625. My E6600 is clocked at 3.6ghz, but I only have a 8800GT so I'd have thought you should be a fair bit higher with a 4870.

I get 12931 @ stock & 14261 max overclock but 06 is a poor ATI benchmark as opitmised for Nvidia cards & quad core also adds another 2000 points.

Well i kinda made my own little bench mark just by plaing Crysis! When i had 2 gig RAM and my 8800GTX i got 15-22 fps with everything on high @ 1680x1050 and 2x AA! With the same game settings with my upgrade im getting 27-38 FPS! Is that jump up still a bit low?
