Please some one help before my pc gets thrown out of the window!

Every time i run full default benchmark it crashes out halfway through cpu test 1 error message being "display changed" no matter what i do! I managed to get a different error message atleast "device unavailable"

Ive done the usual uninstall reinstall program and drivers etc but no different  Ive put everything back to standard clocks but still no different.

Anyone any ideas??

I had this problem when i OVERCLOCKED my graphics card, my PC just restarted its self (i took down the clocking a bit and it went through ok)

Although you have restet your clocks to stock, have you opened any pipes on your GFX card? If you have, maybe you need to close one of them?

(I am no expert)

Also, try a diffrent 3D MARK. 3D MARK 3 is good IMO.

Yeah ive tried all other 3dmarks except 05 and pushed the clocks back up played a couple of games in high settings like normal with no difference to performance??

Its frustrating because you do some changes in the hope of a tad better performance, and me being me everything must work A1 so when this happens i must sort it regardless of whether its actually having any impact on performance or not.

Lol, i like things perfect too - Trust me ;)

Out of interest, is your GFX card 6800? Just a normal 6800?

yup its a old boggo pci-e 6800, i think i get good results from it baring in mind ive also got a xfx6800xt which is no where near it in performance stakes!

I got a 6800 aswell. 16 pipes overclocked :)

I had it like 1 week ago, will upgrade again at xmas... along with a new cpu or what ever :S
