Hello guys. Just a quick question. Built my pc and ran 3dmark06. Currently getting a score of 6700 to 7000.

My rig is

Pentium 4 651 3.4ghz (when @ 4.2ghz its give me 3dmark06 score of 7000)
2gb DDR2 Dual Channel 533Mhz 2x1gb
2x320gb Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 in Raid
8800GTX 768Mb BFG.
eVGA motherboard.

Is this score what you would expect.

When the pc is totally @ stock Im getting around 5800.

Seems a tiny bit low considering my 7900 GTO gave me around the same.

What I think i happening is my processor is throttling back. I have a 9700 Aero cooler on atm but one corner of the holder is loose. (lost screw :()
Therefore it is not getting the full pressure on it.

cheers

by how much?

It is wierd.

When I used to overclock my processor in a cheapass asrock (40 quid board) with stock cooler I would get a score of 1900 (cpu).

Now Im struggling to break 1200..

:o

May need to put CPU cooler on again.

It is sooooooooooo fiddly. :(

any other ideas people.

When Running CS-S @ 1920x1200 @ 16xAF 16xAA everything on top, im getting around 60fps but will go up 2 around 300fps if I look @ the ground

TDU gives me only around 10-20fps which will go down to low single figures when I burn some rubber

The good scores people are getting in 3D Mark is with CD2 cpus, and they get a big score for the cpu which puts their scores up2 9-10k, why not get a CD2 for yours?

Surely his CPU cant be that bad, i get 8,803 with a 320mb GTS and E6600 all stock, surely he would still get more than that having a GTX.

Okay dokey.

Got my score up to 7200.

overclocked ram to 700mhz

overclocked CPU to 4300Mhz

Does anyone know what voltage is being used for the processor or how to find out.

There is an onboard sensor.

I have tried CPU-Z and some others.

They are all giving me different readings. All the way up to 2.5v

Im going to increase voltage. I would buy a C2D of the bay but my account has stopped.

Im looking atm for a website that will take paypal......

Could someone help me with the voltages.

I tried Coretemp but it just crashed my pc.

Also, it is automatically managing the PCI frequency.

Should I set it to manual and chose the standard 100mhz.

cheers
