Hey Guys

I'm modelling 13th Century Nottingham Castle for a project at uni. I've started at the gatehouse and got a model going that i'm happy with

Only problem I have is the fact i can't zoom in very far in the perspective viewport. As soon as I get closer to it, the zoom slow's right down till i'm hardly zooming in at all, meaning for some of the more detailed bits I wanna do inside the gatehouse, I can't actually see :(

Bit of research suggests its an auto feature and has something to do with the number of segments??

Is this true? is there a fix it or any way round it?

Thanks :)

Select the face in the middle of the area you work in, then press 'z'.
Alternatively, make sure your object is selected (it's easier to work with seperate objects and weld them later (within reason and only if you need to), then hold CTRL+ALT and Middle Mouse button, then move the mouse up and down to zoom in or out.

Feel free to add me to MSN and I will try and help out with anything you have problems with (if you wish). I'd be interested in seeing the model so far too.
