Looking good. Glad they fixed the start, home and select buttons too.

They said they would never add a second circle pad.

Hmm, I would really like a bigger 3DS, but I wonder how much of a pain transferring all the DLC is, and I would need to get a second CPP.

System transfer is painless, I switched from an Aqua 3DS to the Zelda one without any issue, including all Ambassador games.

Not stupid at all. Why would they add a new control system to a hardware revision? They'd then end up having to make 3DS XL specific games if the controls differed which would be ridiculous.

Is iT worth upgrading to? I have a DSxl.. are the 3DS games that good?

If you liked the DSxl and like Nintendo games it’s worth the upgrade, also some good 3rd party games as well.

No 2nd circle pad is a shame though, I would like devs to start using the CPP and out the box 2nd circle pad would encourage that.

Edit: also the 3DS is a new hardware not just an upgrade like the Ds lite to DSXL

Exactly, the existence of the CPP makes not adding a second to the XL a very silly thing to do. What are they going to do, release another add on that makes the thing two foot wide when attached? Sounds dumb, well it's no less dumb than releasing an updated version that is technically less capable than the last, at least with the 3DS you had the option of a second stick.

Nintendo made their bed, they have to lie in it. That's why there's no second stick. It does look very attractive though, Nintendo are great at designing attractive hardware. Thematically very similar to the Wii U.

Google "3DS Circle Pad Pro" and you'll realise why it's stupid.

They already make (or are planning to make) games that use two sticks, and you need that attachment to play them. If they're making a hardware upgrade it IS stupid not to incorporate the second stick.

I would be really interested as i loved my DSiXL But my 3DS cramps my hands.. :( But no Additional Analogue is a bad point AND No PSU... WTF??? I want to sell my Mint 3DS but will have to buy another Adapter...

Thinking about it now, it would have been better if Nintendo offered some kind of percentage discount off the 3DS XL for the people who brought the 3DS on release and was part Nintendo 3DS Ambassador programme. People who didnt, would buy it for whatever the RRP is with the adapter included as not everyone with a 3DS will upgrade. Plus loads dont trust buying 3rd party adapters only offical ones.
