3emark06 score to low!!!

I think anything bottlenecks the 8800's. I was talking to a guy yesterday and even at 3.6Ghz his E6600 was a bottleneck in the CSS Stress Test.

No offense but from what I'm seeing the Phenoms are overpriced and seriously underpowered.

I almost get the same CPU score in 06 as you on my o/c E6600.

Abit OT, but what voltage do you need to get your E6600 to 3.5? I'm fairly sure I can get mine to 3.5 at 1.55V (1.6V Set in Bios but 1.55V in reality I think) but it just seems a big voltage bump for 100Mhz as I'm stable at 1.47V (1.5V idle) at 3.4.

you don't know how much i payed for it mate... also it isn't underpowered...

this cpu as a max temp of 70c, i was only at 37c load @ 2.5ghz 1.3v... so it can easyly do more..

mind if i ask will what are your load temps like, reason im wondering is becasuse my vcore setting for 3.4ghz is the same as yours 1.5v set in bios dropping to 1.47, max temp ive seen at load was 58'c using coretemp.

I'm set at 1.55V in bios, its actually 1.5V and under load drops to 1.47V, my load temps are around 60 degrees. What cooler and case you got?

*Edit** I see, I would have thought my vindicator with a 120mm fan and Antec P182 would cool better :\.

im a bit surprised myself considering the cables in my case are an absolute mess add the fact that the tsunami is a pretty cramped case to start with.

Temp must vary, I mean I know someone with an EVGA 680i and E6600 at 3.4Ghz 1.55V and he idles at about 22 degrees and load is about 50 so I dunno. As long as the PC is stable I'm happy :).

true, mine idles around 25-32'c and ive got up to 60@ load but its my first stable oc and like you say as long as its stable thats the main thing:)

Guys is it normal to run the CPU test at like 0-1fps?

Just got my new rig set up, a Q6600 with 4 gig ram and an 8800GTX and ran 3Dmark06 but cpu tests were at 0 and 1 fps.

Main Test Results

3DMark Score 11660 3DMarks

SM 2.0 Score 4791 Marks

SM 3.0 Score 5108 Marks

CPU Score 3517 Marks

Detailed Test Results

Graphics Tests
1 - Return to Proxycon 40.284 FPS

2 - Firefly Forest 39.561 FPS

CPU Tests
CPU1 - Red Valley 1.158 FPS

CPU2 - Red Valley 1.708 FPS

HDR Tests
1 - Canyon Flight (SM 3.0) 49.118 FPS

2 - Deep Freeze (SM 3.0) 53.036 FPS

This normal?

phew cheers :)

thought had buggered my cpu somehow

I thought that when I first run it. I wasn't paying attention and because its so slow I thought it had froze (I was testing a new oc which didn't help)

As for the op I would say the score is abour right given that the game tests are going to be hit due to the reduced core clock of the cpu (given that phenom and K8 are similar on a clock for clock basis).

your stock q6600 gets a similar score/fps to my amd Phenom at 2.5ghz so im guessing if clock mine to 2.4ghz it may score the same..
