3g v 2g Memory

I have 2g memory (DDR2) is it worth putting another gig in? Would i see any benefit? I do play games etc etc. Your views would be very welcome. Thanks. Oh, i use Vista 32bit but may try 64bit soon.

What os are you using? XP or Vista? 64bit or 32bit. If 64 bit id say spend a bit more and get 4gb and youll be laughing.

Not sure how well duel channel will work with 3x1gb in it. Cant rember if it manages it as duel channel its self or if you need 2x1gb and 2x 512mb. If the latter id get 4gb instead as the 512mb will be useless if you want to upgrade to 4gb and will have been money wasted.

It wont do dual channel. 4Gb would be better. Especially since you will use 64-bit. RAM is cheap as chips now.

If you have 2x512mb and 2x1gb modules in they will be running in dual channel.

I have 2x 1gig and 2x 512mb and it runs fine in "Duel channel"
