3ghz on stock volts

yes opty 180 the chip was so cheap i couldn't resist . i sold my 4600x2 and it just about covered the cost so not so bad . but well impressed with the cpu , it will super pi at stock volts at 3ghz but fails occt after 8 mins . unfortunately its time is limited as i already have a dfi 680i board and waiting for a quad :)

Nice one mate, try for some more now. These chips will always give you some more. Always wondered if Intel deliberatly underclocked them so the enthusiast market would go crazy for the,

Intel in underclocking AMD chip shocker!

nice chip. My 939 3800x2 does 2.8 on stock volts, orthos stable but after that im limited by my boards voltage controls, which only go to 1.4. Can only boot into windows at 3ghz and one core fails orthos after a minute.

i will try and see what i can get it too on monday , i'm on nights at the mo bummer :( . plus i am only using the stock cooler at mo . whats the best result on air for 939 chip on air ?
:)

iv seen 3200 on air with new e6 opteron 165, looking at your screeny id say up your volts m8, a lot of people are hitting 3ghz on air but not stable unless upping volts to 1.4-1.45, if i get time ill see what i can get my new stepping 170 to :D .

currently sat here on 2900mhz stable with new opteron 170 :D first attempt got me 2800mhz stable then a little ram adjustment got me this, im sure ill get 3ghz stable no problem soon :)

bagged an opty 175 couple of weeks bag
sitting at 3ghz orthos stable, straight in at 2.8 and jumped straight to 3g

may try and push a little further

Try this-cpu is at 1.35v, Set ram to 166 divider, x10 multi,280fsb,also is that ram g.skill pc4000? if so i found 2.7v and all settings on auto apart from 2t,ras to cas=5 and ras precharge =5, i then used clock gen to up to 2900mhz and ran orphos for 12 hours

edited moved mem setting ras to cas and precharge to 4 and 1t, :)
