I got a Q6600 and im no genius when it comes to overclocking also using an Asus P5E.
I cant seem to get it far past 3 gig without some sort of problem

ive had the bios erased the cpu not recognized all sorts
And ive just tried looking for a newer version of the bios to flash to it but wouldnt know it if it was on my screen could anyone perhaps link me to one?
and my vcore is roughly 1.375 fsb 340 ram is just below 1066 with 2.3v (Manufacturers Settings) could i possibly need to up the northbridge?

try thowing more voltage at the core.. 1.40 or 1.45 as the vdroop maybe making this unstable.

Whats your VID? mines 1.2625V and i got 3.6 @ 1.376V idle @ 450 x8

Seriously?

I was running mine at 3.6 with a bit of extra voltage and i was pegging 70 degrees on an Arctic Cooler 7 under load AND failing Prime.

WTF please?
