I have 1g (One stick) in my pc at the mo as i had to give the other stick i had to a mate who was in dire straights!

Anyway, would i see much of a difference if i bought another 2 sticks of ram (Corsair DDR2). I use Vista 32bit and don't want to have 4g in the pc. Ta

from reading these forums and general pc hardware/software requirements, I think systems would be much happier with an even number of gb e.g 2,4,6 etc. But to be honest, there isn't really any software out there that needs more than 2gb, so I wouldn't waste your money. Put more ram in when software catches up with hardware. I have vista ultimate x64 running with 2gb and no problems. Plus the more ram you have the trickier it is to get a stable overclock.

By all means correct me if I'm wrong guys.

Using 3 sticks will kill "dual channel" if that bothers you. The way I see it get 4gb now, as inevitably youll switch to x64 at some stage and voila, youll have 4gb :D Ram prices are so cheap now it would be silly not to take advantage for the future.

Get another 2GB, I have 3GB in my laptop and it's great on Vista Ultimate 32bit. I've also ordered another 2GB kit for in my normal PC. On Vista 64bit with some programs open and playing some games you can really notice the difference, so I've found out on a mate his PC.
