Hi,

How do 3 pin fans work when on a hub with 4 pin fans, do they just end up running at 12v all the time while the 4 pin fans operate as normal ramping up depending on temp.

Looking at getting meshify 2 noticed it comes with 3 pin fans and a hub that has 3pin and 4 pin dedicated slots, so assuming you set it up like that and into one fan header how does that work?

Cheers

If the hub is connected to your motherboard via 4pin header you can still control them provided the board can be configured to voltage control (I'm sure a lot of them can). As far as im aware the hub can still change the speed of the fans but via voltage instead of pwm signal.

Ok thanks, so that means the 4pin pWN fans will be run at fixed speed then right?. I think its best have the 3pin on the hub into single fan header then use another system header to chain the 4 pins I guess.
