its worth mentioning that my wife can hear a pin drop at 100 miles and chews me out for making clicking noises on my keyboard when i type.
with that in mind i opted for a silent approach to the componants without compramising the system too much.
i do a bit of photoshop dreamweaver and looking to possible do a little video editing along side a healthy gaming addiction awaiting the new swtor mmo. and bf3

Looks decent enough, this is a better cooler but out of stock atm.
Edit: Also for an extra £30 ish u can get the 2600K which has an unlocked multiplier which will make overclocking a lot easyer.
And that ram is triple channel, u can't use that with that setup, this is the same basically.

Swap the memory for a dual channel kit, not triple. Also maybe think about getting the"K" version 2600, or even the 2500K i5...... Personally I wouldnt bother with a non "K" SB.......

the lower budget one looks interesting im currently looking at maybe using my current case
the http://www.nzxt.com/new/products/classic_series/lexa_blackline but in blue not that that makes much difference. and a 650 watt hyper psu but this is already 5 years old.
and dropping the blue ray i dont have hd monitor yet was just trying to future proof the build a bit but can always add that at a later date.

interesting comments guys i did however want to ask what is the triple and quad channel ram used for?

hyper psu? is that the exploding one? :)

would suggest you're better off getting a new psu.

triple channel ram is for the old i7(I.e 1366 socket), no such thing as quad channel as far as I'm aware.

if you don't need a new case and you luke the look of the cheaper option reaper posted then you could take the £70 and 'upgrade' a couple of things, e.g you could go for a 6950 2gb for £20 or so more and better motherboard(p8z68-v pro or asrock extreme4 gen3).
