3rd party headset with Vive

I got my vive up and running, but I cant get it to work with my corsair wireless headset, I have changed the sound source to the headset in the VR control panel but nothing works. The only option that works is to set it to the Vive, and plug in the cheapy headphones. If I have mates round I would much prefer to use over ear than ear phones..

has anyone else had any joy.. the alternative is to buy some over ewar phones with a normal jack.

If your using wireless headphones connected to your pc already, you don't need to change the sound source on the Vive.

The only time you need to do that is if your physically plugging your headphones via 3.5mm phono or USB on the HMD itself.

Right click on the steamvr icon in the minimized tray, select settings -> audio and make sure its set to "do not change"

This worked cheers... although the corsair is it abit heavy, the sound is much better and they don't fall out of your ears like the bud style ones
