After two failed Vx922's, I received a new Samsung 940BF today. Thankfully it appears to be working 100%. I just lost confidence with the Viewsonic brand I'm affraid. I'm sure I was just unlucky though........ :(

Indeed eh ;)

Mines kinda...fixed...i flicked it the other day and it faded to a reallllllllllllllllly small dot...and i mean small :P Its barely noticeable...

Glad your new monitor is working for you :)

Viewsonic are normally one of the best TFT brands out there. I think they are really great! Mate has had one for a year now with no problems at all.

I think so too, the monitor looks fab, was just anoying the fact i had the red dot in the middle of my screen lol, Also viewsonic wouldnt give me a replacment as it wasent within theyre warratny :P...Basically you need 5 or more stuck/dead pixels i believe for them to consider RMA's/replacements.

But all in all its lovely :) looks nice, everything.

You should have told them you had 6 dead pixels!! They would not know that until they got it back to them, by that time they would have dropped you off a replacement TFT! Its a right pain that we have to accept this with TFT's.

Lol...tell me about it...thing is, i hate being "nasty" cant use the word i was going to :P Duno why, but im like that, lol....Even tho theyve been bone idle in helping me out!

Viewsonic will actually swap out on the VX series if you have a completely dead pixel...either on or off, but only their professional series has had the warranty extended to cover stuck pixels.

Sorry to go off topic...I am thinking about getting a 2nd VX922 so I can watch tv on one screen or game, and browse on the other. I wonder with the limited viewing angles would this be a problem..tennis neck syndrome ? Also, I wonder am I pushing it to expect a 2nd pixel perfect screen. Roll of the dice I guess.

Chance you take with any TFT purchase. As for viewing angles, some people will find them extreme while others won't. I don't find them extreme at all!

Yeah i know about the Dead pixel policy, lol i noticed i have 3 "stuck" ones now...

But two of them are quite faint...Is a dead pixel REALLY noticeable? Depnding on colour?

lol, trust me, ive emailed the company like 5 times now saying im not happy :P But they just dont reply, Viewsonic arent that much better.

People say just return it without an RMA number, i just dont fancy the risk.

Yeaaa, or just get it no sent back with NO refund :P lol Ouch! This is annoying now, i WANT a replcement, the pixels are hardly visable, but i know theyre there, and would rather not have em.

Well...thing is ive already emailed em saying i have a stuck one :P And thats kinda cheating lol.

They still didnt reply to my email lol, gits :(

When you rang did you give them the serial num and your details? If so then you can't ring again! The other option if you can't RMA it is to try and sell it! Not everyone is bothered by a stuck pixel or two! I have a Viewsonic VX924 with one lazy pixel and i am going to sell it as i have just been given a 24" WS TFT as a birthday gift from the family. I can see mine being sold as long as the price is right etc. I did not notice the stuck pixel until my sister pointed it out to me!

Be great if it could be sold to someone who is colour blind as they would not see the blue stuck pixel!! lol So, give that a try if you want.

Heh, i havent actually rang them, i hate ringing places cause most of the sales reps know bug all :P

I could sell it, but only if i got the amoutn o paid for it, otherwise theres no point :S i hate this, :p

Unless anyone wants to buy it, I think the monitors fine, ijust dont want to have a monitor wen i know there is three pixels on the screen somwehre lol.

Well, i have only had my Viewsonic for a few days so i have to sell it as technically there is nothing wrong with it, just a stuck blue pixel!

Well...there is something wrong with it...and your not satified...so in all fairness you SHOULD beable to return it...its no different than having a dvd that skips at a certain scene or something lol

Firstly, i am not selling it because it has a stuck pixel, i am seliing it as i have just been given a 24" WS TFT, Secondly, 1 stuck pixel does not warrant an RMA.

As i said earlier, i could not see the stuck pixel! It was my sister who noticed it.
